El primer curso se llam\u00f3 \u201cPrinciples in Small Animal Fracture Management\u201d, curso de principios quir\u00fargicos enfocado a veterinarios que comienzan con la especialidad de traumatolog\u00eda veterinaria. El segundo curso destinado a veterinarios con algo m\u00e1s de experiencia y enfocado a t\u00e9cnicas quir\u00fargicas en patolog\u00edas de rodilla, se llam\u00f3\u00a0 Masters Course\u2014Stifle Surgery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De acuerdo a lo mencionado por el Dr. Luis Guti\u00e9rrez, el objetivo general del curso fue introducir los principios b\u00e1sicos de manejo de fracturas en animales de compa\u00f1\u00eda, incluyendo la evaluaci\u00f3n del paciente con traumatismo, y la planificaci\u00f3n y ejecuci\u00f3n del tratamiento de las fracturas articulares y de huesos largos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLos objetivos espec\u00edficos fueron: Evaluar sistem\u00e1ticamente peque\u00f1os animales con fracturas. Seleccionar y planificar opciones de tratamiento apropiadas. Realizar procedimientos quir\u00fargicos y no quir\u00fargicos para tratar fracturas articulares sencillas y de huesos largos. Formular planes de cuidados postquir\u00fargicos, incluyendo el diagn\u00f3stico y el manejo de complicaciones. Evaluar de manera cr\u00edtica los resultados cl\u00ednicos\u201d, detall\u00f3 el acad\u00e9mico quien agreg\u00f3 que su presentaci\u00f3n gir\u00f3 en torno al \u201cUso de Coaptaci\u00f3n Externa en el manejo integral de Fracturas en Peque\u00f1os Animales. Adem\u00e1s me toc\u00f3 dirigir y apoyar grupos de discusi\u00f3n de casos cl\u00ednicos, y grupos de realizaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas quir\u00fargicas en modelos \u00f3seos\u201d, puntualiz\u00f3
